CMT Pure Country is a digital cable and satellite television channel, it is the sister network to CMT. It showcases country music videos all day from the 1980s to the current day, using the same 8-hour programming wheel schedule repeated three times daily as sister networks MTV Hits and MTV Jams. Unlike CMT, CMT Pure Country focuses entirely on music videos, with no entertainment programming.
The network was called VH1 Country until Memorial Day Weekend 2006 (launching in 1999 and predating the merger of CBS Cable networks TNN and CMT into Viacom), complementing that network until Viacom shifted VH1 towards more pop culture programming while using the CMT brand for all of their country music programming.
